I cried out to Him with my mouth; His praise was on my tongue. If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; but God has surely listened and heard my voice in prayer. Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or witheld His love from me! Psalm 66:17-20
This weekend was very eventful. So much so, that had it been any more eventful, it would have been in the news. Actually, it was in the news but just not the news that you see on TV. In fact, it was on the news, long before it ever happened. It is part of the good news that has been around for all eternity. The news that God is in control and nothing takes him by surprise. Jeremiah 29 11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back from captivity. [b] I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile." So, what is the news? I will tell you that the news revolves around an unexpected ambulance ride for my youngest son, Jeremiah. Unexpected for him and us, but not the Lord our God. I will tell you that in His great providence, God laid a plan in place that would bring Him so much glory. God is so awesome in His great providence. Some times it takes a while to get to look back and see the good in a situation and once in a while we get to see it right away. This was one of those times where God clearly allowed us to see so much good, so soon. I have no doubt that there is even some glory that we have not seen yet come from all that He allowed this weekend. I will tell you that Jeremiah is doing well and back home. He was even in church Sunday praising Jesus. For the news that really matters and the news that will hopefully be a great reminder that in every circumstance, it is not by chance and if we will step back and look through the eyes of Jesus, we will see the good, for that news, I invite you to go to http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/teachingjeremiah/ To those who think that life has dealt you nothing but lemons, remember God has given us all gifts and once we discover what they are, we can use them to turn the lemons into lemonade. That lemonade is Jesus and He is the sweetest drink that you can ever share with anyone. By His Grace Alone John
